Exoasia Innovation Hub is looking for Dev Crew Interns to help develop and improve Hermes, currently a Proof of Concept working towards productizing it. Hermes is a web-based platform that integrates a coordinated stack of specialist AI agents to improve productivity of financial advisors and support financial literacy of its users. This position is fully-remote.
QA Tester
Responsibilities
- Test Hermes' financial calculation modules (retirement, education, insurance/protection, and debt-coverage gap computations) for accuracy.
- Review generated Financial Needs Analyses (FNA), reports, and client-facing outputs for correctness, consistency, and completeness.
- Write and execute test cases and checklists for both the advisor-facing and individual-user product experiences.
- Manually test new features across the web app before release.
- Log clear, reproducible bug reports and work with the dev crew to verify fixes.
- Flag any financial logic, terminology, or assumption in the product that doesn't match real-world financial planning practice.
- Regularly report updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Background or coursework in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Understanding of core personal finance concepts: net worth, cash flow, insurance/protection needs, retirement planning, education funding, and estate planning.
- Detail-oriented and methodical, comfortable double-checking numbers and logic.
- Clear written communication, for documenting findings in a way developers can act on.
- Self-directed and reliable in a fully-remote setting.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to insurance or financial advisory work (even informal, e.g. family business, part-time work, or coursework projects).
- Any experience with software QA or manual testing.
- Interest in how AI is applied to financial planning and advisory work.
