Job Summary
As a Corporate Finance Intern (OJT) at Novare, you will gain hands on experience working alongside our experienced finance professionals. You will play an active role in the day to day operations of the finance department, supporting crucial tasks such as financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world corporate finance, providing you with the skills and insights needed to launch a successful career.
Job Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in updating annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.
- Variance Analysis: Help compare historical results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers of variances to help leaders make informed decisions.
- Month-End Close: Assist the accounting and finance teams with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data consolidation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate or streamline existing financial models, reporting templates, and internal processes.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, or special project modeling as requested by senior finance leadership.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field. (Preferably a Junior or Senior).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must be comfortable with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and basic formulas) and PowerPoint.
- Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of core financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and basic financial modeling concepts.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Work Ethic: High attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus: Familiarity with financial software/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus.
- Must be willing to report on-site at our Bonifacio Global City, Taguig office.
