Software Engineering Intern (Full-Time) (Remote) (Paid Internship)
Stipend: $150 USD per month for 3-month internship program
Path to Conversion: High-performers have potential path to junior engineer role
About Anonyma.ai:
Anonyma is a marketing tech startup helping brands scale their organic social media presence. We manage high-volume content operations across multiple platforms, working with e-commerce and B2B clients to maximize their reach without paid ads.
Funded by SF-backed exit founders. Building systems that help brands grow from 10 to 100+ social accounts.
What This Internship Is:
A real shot at becoming a founding engineer at a funded startup. No coffee runs or laid back work. You'll ship actual features that real customers use.
If you prove yourself in 3 months, you have a path to convert to a junior engineer with competitive pay + equity.
What You'll Actually Do:
Work directly embedded with Sam (CTO, ex-Zoom/ex-Fella Health YC W20) who will mentor you through:
- Weeks 1-2: Learn the codebase. Fix bugs. Ship small features. Daily pair programming sessions.
- Weeks 5-8: Own a feature end-to-end. Could be part of the carousel editor, posting queue system, or client dashboard.
- Weeks 9-12: Build something from scratch. API integration, new tool, internal automation—something you can point to and say "I built that."
You'll get real startup experience: fast feedback loops, direct access to founders, seeing your code go to production within days not months.
Our Stack:
Frontend:
- React 18 with TypeScript
- Vite (build tool & dev server)
- TanStack Query (data fetching)
- Wouter (routing)
- Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui components
- React Hook Form + Zod (forms & validation)
Backend:
- Express.js with TypeScript
- Drizzle ORM (database access)
Database:
- PostgreSQL via Neon (serverless)
Don't know all of this? That's fine. You should know at least one part of the stack (React OR Node) and be willing to learn fast.
You're a fit if you:
- Have built something with code (school project, personal site, bootcamp portfolio—doesn't matter)
- Can show us code you've written (GitHub, replit, whatever)
- Are comfortable with either JavaScript/TypeScript or have strong fundamentals in another language
- Want to learn by doing, not by watching tutorials
- Get excited about building things that scale
You shouldn't apply if:
- You need a structured curriculum—we're a startup, you'll define your own learning path
- You can't handle ambiguity or figuring things out
